Condolence From: Fran Ferrie
Condolence: I was fortunate to have Mr. Goodman at Burbank Jr. High School and always considered him one of the best teachers I ever had. It was a difficult time for me and I had trouble fitting in and finding friends. Mr. Goodman got me interested in Spanish a language I continued to learn through school and speak fluently as my second language to this day! He was also my music teacher and singing in the choir helped me feel included and part of something special with my classmates. He always had a way of bringing people together to share in the joys of life through his teaching methods and simply making music joyful and fun!
Thank you Mr. Goodman for enriching my life more than I thought possible with your kindness and generosity. May your family and friends always take comfort in knowing how much you meant to so many people over the years and how greatly you impacted so many with your joy in life.

Condolence: Mr. Goodman meant a lot to me and to my family. He gave both my sister and I a love of singing and music that will never go away. He gave us the confidence to believe we could get up and SING! What a gift he was to so many of his students. The last time I saw him was probably 8 years ago. Considering it had been at least 25 year before then, it was shocking that he remembered me. A sign of a truly connected teacher.

Condolence: I want to express my sadness at the passing of John. I worked with John at Burbank for 8 years, and was very happy to see him come to Fairview later. John was a ray of sunshine always lighting up our lives. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious. I understand your loss because my husband passed away a year and a half ago, and I miss him so. Our memories of our loved ones do soften the grieving.

Condolence: John Goodman and I went to CU Boulder at the same time and had many classes together. We graduated the same year and both of us became teachers. We were good friends, enjoyed each other's company and appreciated the help we gave one another. He was a very gentle person. I am sorry to hear of his passing and won't be able to attend the service due to being out of state. My condolences to the family. Karen Main
