Warren Bashor
Warren Monroe Bashor 79, of Longmont passed away January 10, 2018 at Longmont United Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was born February 16, 1938 in Longmont, Colorado to Galen and Priscilla (Wellman) Bashor.
Warren graduated from Longmont High School in 1956, where he played many sports but exceled in football, which he proudly played as a starter all four of his years there. He was proud to be All conference and named to the All State football team, and his picture still hangs in the halls of Longmont High. He attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, Co after high school on a football scholarship.
He joined the Army and he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, after discharge he became a member of the Colorado National Guard. He met Sue Ann Roberts at the Old Stone Church in Lyons, Co while on leave from the Army; they married in 1965. Together they had two sons Wade and Paul. Warren and Sue were married for twenty-five years before they divorced.
Warren was a farmer and cattle feeder in the Hygiene, Co area where his family homesteaded, he raised his boys and remained until his death. When his boys came home from college they formed a partnership, Bashor Farms. He happily worked along-side his two sons for the last twenty-five years. When he wasn’t working the fields he loved to go to Las Vegas. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting and camping with his sons, riding horses either moving cattle or trail riding in the mountains. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his longtime girlfriend Sandy whether it was going to Blackhawk to play the slots, having a nice meal out, or just staying home and watching an old Gun smoke, The Andy Griffith Show or his favorite The Big Bang Theory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Duane Bashor, two sisters; Mary Lou Jackson and Shirley Patterson and his daughter-in-law Kimberlee Bashor.
Warren is survived by Sandra Gingery, two sons Wade Bashor (Rochelle Wetzler), Paul Bashor and wife Jodi. Four grandchildren Rachel Bashor (Chris Conroy), Samantha Bashor, Colton Bashor, and Wyatt Bashor.
